Winter Cold.
So when does the Paganus get it?
Timing.
It's all in the timing.
Not that it does Me any good.
All else is well and good here as can be reasonably expected.
Had a nasty thunder and lightning storm a few nights back.
Severely scared the Serena-Cat.
Sat with Her here in My room.
She liked that.
Winds howling about today.
She does not like that.
Watched the 'Odyssey' the other night.
Two (2) part TV-Movie from 1997.
Armand Asante and Greta Scatchi.
Decent dramatization of Homer's epic.
Had the thought that since 'Odyssey' has been done so often - what about the 'Iliad'?
While I was sitting, watching and fighting off coughing and explosive sneezing fits -
I again relearned a lesson from Homer.
Odysseus was so mono-focused on getting home His Penelope and son Telemachus
he nearly failed to learn the lessons offered taught to Him along his twenty (20) year journey home to Ithaca.
Yes - even for the Greybeard a lesson was again relearned.
Focus not so completely on the end of the Journey.
Focus not on the end to the exclusion of the lessons along the way.
The Way is often one of the more important and vital life lessons we can learn -
learn and share.
I am the Paganus.
I am the Greybeard.
I am the Solemnis Solitaire.
I have been 'out-of-action' since the 22nd of Decenbre.
You have not lost Me.
You need not find, teach and 'break-in' a new Administrator.
You have the quite capable Tiger-Lily who - with the Mystress -
does a find job of keeping these Forum Boards active and functional.
The infamous 'cybernetic-cafe' has been closed.
Your Greybeard has had no online access.
In fact - as I sit here writing these words by hand - I am not sure
when I shall be able to get them typed/keyboarded and posted.
Uncertainty.
It is one of the lessons I learned these 'down-time' days.
Patience. Endurance. Survival. Success.
I have been working with and through these also.
It had been - for this 'Solemnis Solitaire' - some very real 'Days of Darkness'.
I have no idea what is happening. I have heard from almost nobody.
I have become my own name - solemn and quite solitary.
Was this meant to be?
Was I meant to have this 'down-time'?
As I sit here scribbling these words by hand -
I wonder just what the Lord and Lady, My Guides, Guardians and Muses,
My Dragons, and even Lord Ganesha and Goddess's Bast and Brighid were/are working on.
Ganesha from the Hindu's.
Bast from Egypt.
Brighid from the Celts.
And let Us not ever forget Agni.
Yes - Agni.
He's been involved here also.
He's Ganesha's companion. He's the mouse the elephant headed god rides.
Rides a mouse.
Yeah.
Visually very trippy.
Do have to wonder what Bast and Agni have to talk about.
Bast of Cats and Agni the Hindu Fire God mouse.
So yes.
Something has been happening.
I just have no clear idea what it is.
No one has told Me anything.
I asked Ganesha and all I got for an answer was a gust of wind.
Ganesha flapped his ears at me!
Or was that one of My dragons flying by?
Ether way - it was not much in the way of a useable, understandable answer.
How do I decipher a gust of wind?
I'm no Hindu or even Buddhist.
I'm just a very quietly confused Pagan.
A confused Pagan who has been ofline for over 12 days.
A very Solemn Solitary.

Somedays it is better - some days it is worse.

Might even be something good there tonight - "Cults".
Looks interesting at least.
Better than "History of the Christmas Tree Ornament" or whatever it was They've been running for the past few weeks.

Blessings & Greetings.
I am again here.
Awoke this day with a quiet scratching at My door
and a softly insistent - 'me-rrow!'.
So I let Serena-Cat in.
She hopped up on the bed, sniffed and then curled
up beside Me.
The winds were blowing -
I can hear them still blowing outside this 'cafe' even now -
and She was not happy.
So today it is Bast who has offered Me My words:
Quiet.
Warm.
Companion.
Snuggle and Cuddle.
Buzz and Purr.
Storm winds blowing,
sticks and twigs about,
clatter, crash, bang,
birds aflutter,
clutter upon the windows.
Cry for escape-
down the hall run,
find the door,
cry again,
under the covers hide,
He is there,
quietly comforting.
I am here, Serena.
Come.
Share some time with Me.
Here is some sunshine.
It's safe and quiet here -
You can finish You're nap -
